Yoga Poses that improve Fertility


With the advancement in medical science and technology, today there are plenty of treatments for infertility. These treatments are usually very expensive. If we talk about some natural ways or remedies for infertility, definitely yoga will be on the top of the list.

The Yoga Poses that Help Boot Fertility or Yoga Poses for fertility:

1) Paschimottanasana: Seated Forward Bend Pose
Paschima: Back
Uttana: Stretch
Asana: Pose


This pose stretches and strengthens the hips, lower back and hamstrings. It helps improve the health and functioning of ovaries, uterus and other reproductive organs that are responsible for conception.  
Procedure/Steps:
1. Sit straight on the floor or yoga mat with your legs stretched out in front of you.
2. Keep your arms stretched upwards, above your head and your toes flexed towards you.
3. With an exhale gradually bend forward at the hip and let your hands touch the feet.  
4. Keep spine straight so that your abdomen rest over the thighs.
5. Grab the toes with index fingers.
4. Breath steadily and deeply and bend further towards your toes as you exhale.
5. Maintain the pose for few minutes and then with an inhale exit the pose.   

2) Supta Baddha Konasana: Reclining Bound Angle Pose

This yoga pose exercises your groin muscles, inner thighs and hips.

Procedure/steps:
1. Lie on your back on the floor or yoga mat.
2. Slowly bend your legs at knees and place the soles of your feet on the ground.
3. Slowly move your knees towards the sides so that your soles touch each other.
4. Place your arms beside your torso with palms facing up.
5. Breath slowly and deeply and stay in the pose for 5 to 10 minutes.
6. To exit the pose bring your tights together and turn towards one side and slowly rise from this position.

3) Bhujangasana: Cobra Pose

This yoga pose helps improve blood circulation in the ovaries and the uterus. Thus, it improves the hormonal balance and also aids in the production of cervical mucus that helps sperms move towards eggs.  
Procedure/Steps:
1. Lie on your stomach and place your hands beside your body and legs stretched back.
2. Now move your hands to the front and place them under your shoulders with palms facing down.
3. Now, shifting your body’s weight on palms slowly raise your upper body stating with head till navel.
4. Move torso back and tilt your head back and look up so that your hands are straight.
5. Stay in the pose for 1 or 2 minutes, then slowly exist the pose.
